Deck options & preferences

Presets share options between decks. A subdeck inherits its nearest assigned parent's preset. Interface preferences and the scheduler choice apply across your library.

Card display & keyboard

Normally changes affect future answers. Rescheduling changes existing due dates and ends the current session.

Assign a preset & override deck limits

Blank fields inherit the preset. Parent limits apply when studying the parent; enable “Limits start from top” to apply them when opening a subdeck directly.

FSRS optimizer & workload simulator

Optimize from this visitor's scheduled review history for the selected preset. Collect at least 100 later-day review answers first; more history improves personalization. Unsaved form values are used for the simulator.

Based on Anki deck options and preferences. AnkiWeb sync, add-ons, and desktop-only controls are not available here. The owner can manage the public deck library.

Study with active recall

Desktop full screen: Start scheduled review, then choose Full screen beside Pause. Your card and pictures expand while Show answer and Again / Hard / Good / Easy stay within reach. Click any picture for a closer look. Press Esc or choose Exit full screen to return without losing your place. If your browser keeps its controls visible, use the expanded Focus view instead.

Read the question and retrieve the answer before you reveal it. For a cloze card, fill the hidden part marked […]. Each original cloze deletion has its own card.

Again
You forgot or got it wrong. Use this even if the answer feels familiar after revealing it.
Hard
You recalled the correct answer, but with effort. This is a passing rating.
Good
You recalled the answer correctly.
Easy
You recalled it immediately and confidently.

Scheduled review adapts the next interval to your review ratings. Choose FSRS or legacy SM-2, customize learning steps, daily limits, display order, and sibling burying in Study settings. The defaults use 1 and 10 minute learning steps, a 10 minute relearning step, and a 4 a.m. study-day rollover.

To set exactly when a rating returns a card, open Answer intervals & settings → Answer keys 1–4. Enter a delay for any key, or leave it blank for automatic scheduling. The times beneath the answer buttons show the active setting. These overrides belong to your preset and never edit the original deck.

Custom practice works through any selected cards once and offers a retry of missed cards. Ratings in this mode do not change your due dates.

Space / Enter: reveal, then Good · 1–4: rate · F: flag · U: undo the last rating and return to the previous card (Ctrl/⌘ + Z also works). Shortcuts pause while you type or edit settings. Keys 1–4 also work after clicking Show answer.

Long cards keep readable text. Use Next part and Previous beneath the card, or ← / →. On your phone, you can also scroll inside the card. On a revealed answer, Space shows the next part before grading Good. Tap Image for a larger view, then Full-size image to inspect small labels. Use Card tools for settings, personal edits, flags, and other actions.

Intervals are based on the open-source FSRS scheduler. Review controls and sibling burying follow the Anki study workflow. See Anki’s guidance on retention and workload.

About the study library

The initial decks retain their original Anki-rendered cards. Imported packages use their card templates and note fields. The original hierarchy, bold text, cloze variants, card styling, tags, and slide images are retained. The card content is taken from the supplied deck; no new medical questions or answers have been generated.

The website begins with a fresh review schedule for each visitor. This is an independent study interface; it does not sync with AnkiWeb or replace all Anki features.

Choose Offline decks to save selected cards and their media on this device. Original APKG packages are not distributed. Approved accounts sync ratings, schedules, settings, achievements, and personal card copies across browsers. Offline study is free and does not require a membership or trial. Guest study and guest edits stay in this browser.

How achievements work

Every saved rating earns 10 XP, including Again and custom practice. A review means one card rated; learning repeats count too. Daily quests and bonus laps add extra XP automatically.

Rate your recall honestly. Your rating never changes how much XP a review earns. Undo reverses its XP, challenge progress, and reward unlocks too. Your customization choices stay saved; a reward becomes usable again when you re-earn it.

Levels continue forever. Every 25 levels completes a chapter and earns a numbered seal. All 21 milestone tracks keep gaining tiers. Unlock a new palette every five levels from 55 through 200, plus collectible titles and emblems along the way. Earn titles, emblems, and colors in Rewards, then choose which ones to use. Showcase up to three earned milestones and follow a target you care about. Your XP and badges stay when you take a day off.

Achievements and reward choices follow your approved account across browsers. You can export a backup to keep your progress.

Focus time counts time on the active card, up to your answer-time limit. Opening this panel pauses the card timer and auto advance.

When a timer finishes

Choose hours, minutes, and seconds. Your study countdown stays visible as you move through cards. A break pauses it and keeps your card in place.

Keep this page open for the chime. Your timers are saved with your study progress. Press T during review to open these controls.

Take your decks with you

Save your selected subdecks while connected. Questions, answers, card styling, and packaged media will be available in this browser without Wi-Fi.

Ratings save on this device first and upload automatically when connected. If your browser pauses background activity, syncing resumes the next time you open Public Atlas Study. Keep this browser’s website data to retain offline decks and private edits.

Edit my card

Your edits belong to you. Approved accounts sync personal copies across browsers for free; guest copies stay in this browser. Published cards and other people’s copies stay unchanged. Images and formatting are retained.
